Job Brief
As a Computed Tomography/Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CT/MRI) Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality imaging services to patients. You will operate MRI scanners, ensuring patient safety and comfort while capturing detailed images for diagnostic purposes. Ideal candidates will have experience in patient care, strong technical skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of image quality.
Responsibilities
- Operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners to capture high-resolution images.
- Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Administer gadolinium contrast dosage intravenously, as required for certain procedures.
- Interview patients to gather medical history and explain MRI procedures clearly.
- Position patients accurately on the examining table for optimal imaging results.
- Review and assess images for quality assurance and report any discrepancies.
- Enter patient data into the computer system, including history, anatomical area, and scanning orientation.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI or CT.
- Valid state licensure to practice as a CT/MRI Technologist.
- Proficiency in operating MRI and CT imaging equipment.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred.
