Job Brief

We are seeking an experienced Comptroller to oversee and manage the financial activities of our organization. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting, banking, investing, and insurance operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of financial regulations, and experience in financial reporting and analysis. A successful Comptroller will ensure that the organization’s financial operations align with its strategic objectives while adhering to compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and direct the accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Oversee budgeting processes and financial forecasting to support organizational goals.
  • Coordinate financial audits and implement necessary corrective actions based on audit findings.
  • Manage cash flow and investment strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports for executive management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting principles and internal controls to mitigate risks.
  • Supervise accounting staff and provide training and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
