Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Composition Weatherboard Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing weatherboards and insulating materials, ensuring high-quality finishes and energy efficiency in residential and commercial structures. Key responsibilities include lining and covering structures with batt, roll, or blown insulation materials, as well as collaborating effectively with construction teams to meet project deadlines. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of building codes are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Install composition weatherboards and insulating materials according to specifications and industry standards.
- Measure and cut weatherboard materials to fit various structures accurately.
- Line and cover structures with batt, roll, or blown insulation materials to enhance thermal performance.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
- Inspect completed installations for quality assurance and compliance with building codes.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements.
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices while on job sites.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in construction or insulation installation preferred.
- Proven experience as a weatherboard installer or in a similar construction role.
- Knowledge of insulation materials and installation techniques.
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
