Job Brief
As a Composer, you will conduct, direct, plan, and lead instrumental or vocal performances by musical artists or groups, including orchestras, bands, choirs, and glee clubs. Responsibilities
- Compose original music pieces for various ensembles, including orchestras, bands, and choirs.
- Direct and conduct rehearsals and live performances, ensuring artistic vision is achieved.
- Collaborate with musical artists and groups to develop and refine musical arrangements.
- Plan and organize performances, including selecting repertoire and arranging schedules.
- Evaluate and provide constructive feedback to musicians to enhance performance quality.
- Stay current with industry trends and musical styles to inspire creativity and innovation.
- Manage production aspects of performances, including sound and staging requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition, Music Theory, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Composer or in a similar role within the music industry.
- Strong proficiency in music notation software and digital audio workstations (DAWs).
- Excellent understanding of orchestration, arrangement, and musical styles.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead diverse groups.
- Portfolio of original compositions and arrangements showcasing creative versatility.
