Job Brief
The Coke Loader operates underground loading and moving machinery to efficiently load or transport core, ore, or rock materials. Responsibilities
- Operate underground loading machines, including power shovels and hoisting engines, to load and transport materials.
- Ensure the safe and efficient movement of core, ore, or rock using shuttle cars, conveyors, or mine cars.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on loading equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor material flow and adjust loading techniques to maximize efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate loading operations and minimize delays.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Document and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certifications preferred.
- Proven experience operating underground loading machinery in mining or related industries.
- Strong mechanical skills and familiarity with mining equipment, including gathering arms and conveyors.
- Ability to work in challenging underground environments and maintain focus under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with peers.
- Basic understanding of safety regulations and best practices in mining operations.
