Job Brief

As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating computer-controlled machines and tools to manufacture precision parts and components from a variety of materials, including metal, plastic, and wood. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in CNC machine operations, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Your role will also involve setting up and maintaining equipment to ensure optimal performance and quality output.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and routers, to produce high-quality components.
  • Set up and calibrate CNC equipment according to specified tolerances and production requirements.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining processes and materials.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent quality and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot any mechanical issues.
  • Document production processes and maintain accurate records of production output and defects.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies while operating machinery and handling materials.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC operations preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Operator or in a similar manufacturing role.
  • Proficient in using CNC programming software and reading CAD/CAM drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and quality control standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
