The Clinical Rehabilitation Aide plays a vital role in supporting the rehabilitation process for patients under the close supervision of a physical therapist or physical therapy assistant. Responsibilities

  • Assist physical therapists and assistants in implementing treatment plans for patients.
  • Prepare treatment areas by cleaning and organizing equipment and supplies.
  • Help patients with mobility and positioning during therapy sessions.
  • Monitor patients’ comfort levels and report any concerns to the supervising therapist.
  • Document patient progress and treatment activities as directed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under supervision.
  • Familiarity with basic medical terminology and rehabilitation practices.
  • Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and perform light lifting.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
