Job Brief
The Clinical Rehabilitation Aide plays a vital role in supporting the rehabilitation process for patients under the close supervision of a physical therapist or physical therapy assistant. Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists and assistants in implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Prepare treatment areas by cleaning and organizing equipment and supplies.
- Help patients with mobility and positioning during therapy sessions.
- Monitor patients’ comfort levels and report any concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Document patient progress and treatment activities as directed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare is a plus.
- Prior experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under supervision.
- Familiarity with basic medical terminology and rehabilitation practices.
- Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and perform light lifting.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
