Job Brief
The Clay Mine Cutting Machine Operator is responsible for operating specialized underground mining machinery to extract clay and other minerals efficiently and safely. Responsibilities
- Operate clay cutting machines to extract minerals in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of mining equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maximize efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate mining activities and schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of production data and equipment usage.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of mining technologies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mining technology is a plus.
- Proven experience operating underground mining machinery, particularly clay cutting machines.
- Strong understanding of mining safety protocols and best practices.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces.
- Technical skills to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on mining equipment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including night shifts and weekends.
- Valid operator’s license and relevant certifications (e.g., MSHA certification) preferred.
