- Answer official correspondence and manage inquiries from the public, maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Keep accurate fiscal records and accounts related to municipal operations and court activities.
- Issue licenses and permits in accordance with state and local regulations.
- Record data, administer tests, and collect fees, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for city council meetings.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in public administration or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably within a governmental or municipal setting.
- Proficient in office software, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database management applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong customer service orientation.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of local government operations, laws, and regulations is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
