Job Brief

As a Circuit Board Drafter, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of electrical systems. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare detailed wiring diagrams, circuit board assembly diagrams, and layout drawings essential for the manufacture, installation, and repair of electrical equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electronic components, drafting software, and industry standards, along with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce precise wiring diagrams and circuit board layouts using CAD software.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers and designers to ensure designs meet specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Review and revise existing circuit board designs based on engineering feedback or changes in requirements.
  • Prepare documentation for circuit board assembly and manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Stay updated with advancements in circuit board technology and industry best practices.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues during the manufacturing and assembly process.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Altium Designer, or Eagle.
  • Strong understanding of electronics, circuit design principles, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with preparing technical drawings and documentation.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards and PCB design guidelines is preferred.
