Job Brief
As a China Decorator, you will be responsible for the artistic painting, coating, or decorating of a variety of items, including furniture, glass, plateware, pottery, jewelry, toys, books, and leather. This role requires a keen eye for design and detail, along with a solid understanding of various decorating techniques. The ideal candidate will possess experience in decorative arts, strong creativity, and proficiency in applying coatings and finishes to enhance the aesthetic appeal of products.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and clean surfaces of items to ensure optimal decoration results.
- Apply paint, glaze, or other coatings to various materials, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Utilize a range of decorative techniques, including hand-painting, airbrushing, and stenciling.
- Collaborate with designers and clients to understand project specifications and desired outcomes.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to enhance skill set and product offerings.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments.
- Document processes and maintain records of materials used and project timelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a China Decorator or in a similar decorative arts role.
- Strong artistic skills with a background in painting or coating techniques.
- Familiarity with various decorating materials and tools.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of color and design.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in art or decoration is a plus.
