Job Brief
As a Children’s Pastor, you will lead and nurture the spiritual growth of children within the church community. This role involves conducting engaging religious worship, providing moral guidance, and developing educational programs that align with the faith’s beliefs and practices. Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate worship services and activities for children.
- Develop and implement engaging educational programs that promote spiritual development.
- Provide spiritual and moral guidance to children and their families.
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers for children’s ministry activities.
- Coordinate and oversee special events, such as summer camps and holiday programs.
- Communicate regularly with parents about children’s spiritual growth and program updates.
- Collaborate with church leadership to align children’s ministry goals with the overall mission of the church.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for all children participating in church activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in children’s ministry or related educational roles.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching methods.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with volunteers and church staff.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices for working with children.
- Commitment to the church’s mission and values.
- Background check clearance and child protection training is required.
