Job Brief
As a Child Care Worker Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate the activities of personal service workers in a childcare setting. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring the safety and well-being of children, supervising staff, and implementing educational programs that promote child development. Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor personal service workers to ensure quality care and compliance with state regulations.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate educational programs and activities.
- Monitor children’s progress and behavior, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized childcare environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s development and needs.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss child care practices, policies, and any concerns.
- Ensure all safety protocols and emergency procedures are followed.
- Assist in the hiring and training of new childcare staff members.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a childcare or educational setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team.
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices.
- Current CPR and first aid certification.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to create engaging and educational activities for children.
- Familiarity with childcare regulations and licensing requirements.
