Job Brief
The Cherry Picker Operator is responsible for safely operating cherry picker equipment to lift and move materials, machines, or products in various directions. Responsibilities
- Operate cherry picker and other aerial lift equipment to transport materials and personnel safely.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on cherry picker machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while operating equipment at heights.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate lifting operations and ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance performed.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management immediately.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials as required during operations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in aerial lift operations preferred.
- Proven experience as a cherry picker operator or in a similar material handling role.
- Valid operator certification for cherry picker or aerial lift equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in equipment operation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work at heights comfortably.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic mechanical skills for equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
