Job Brief
The Chemical Machine Tender operates and tends to specialized equipment, controlling chemical changes and reactions in the production of industrial or consumer products. Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment to ensure efficient production of chemical products.
- Control and adjust equipment settings to manage chemical reactions and changes effectively.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Document process parameters and production data to maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks associated with chemical handling.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure product consistency and compliance with specifications.
- Assist in training new team members on equipment operation and safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in chemical processing preferred.
- Proven experience operating chemical processing equipment in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
- Knowledge of chemical safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including schematics and operating manuals.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with process control systems and instrumentation is a plus.
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime as needed to meet production demands.
