Responsibilities

- Collect and prepare tissue and blood samples for laboratory analysis, including urinalysis and blood counts.
- Execute laboratory tests while adhering to best practices for accuracy and safety.
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures, providing technical support as needed.
- Educate pet owners on animal health, preventive care, and medication administration.
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist in inventory management of laboratory supplies.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Veterinary Technician from an accredited institution.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and laboratory procedures.
- Proficiency in performing laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with veterinarians, staff, and pet owners.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Experience with animal handling and a genuine compassion for animal welfare.
