  • Maintain accurate records of blood collection and patient information in compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure proper handling, labeling, and transportation of blood samples for testing.
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation practices to prevent infection and maintain a sterile environment.
  • Provide compassionate care and support to patients during the blood collection process.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a phlebotomy training program.
  • Current certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (e.g., CPT, PBT) from a recognized body.
  • Proven experience in phlebotomy or relevant clinical settings.
  • Strong understanding of blood collection techniques and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients effectively.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
