As a Certified Pharmacist Assistant, you will play a vital role in the pharmacy by assisting licensed pharmacists in providing high-quality pharmaceutical care. Responsibilities
- Record and manage drug deliveries, ensuring accurate inventory tracking and stock levels.
- Store incoming merchandise in accordance with safety and compliance standards.
- Assist in filling prescriptions by verifying patient information and medication orders.
- Operate the cash register and process customer transactions efficiently.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding stock needs and order supplies as necessary.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to prescriptions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy environment.
- Stay updated on pharmacy policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy assistant training program preferred.
- Valid certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical terminology and medication management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in using pharmacy software and electronic health record systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
