Job Brief
As a Certified Children, Youth, and Family Social Worker, you will provide essential social services and support to enhance the emotional, social, and academic well-being of children and their families. You will play a critical role in addressing issues such as abuse, neglect, and behavioral challenges, while promoting positive family dynamics and educational success. The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) and relevant licensure, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to identify the social, emotional, and psychological needs of children and families.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans to support family well-being and child development.
- Provide counseling and support to children and parents facing challenges such as abuse, neglect, and behavioral issues.
- Facilitate access to community resources, including mental health services, educational programs, and financial assistance.
- Advocate for children’s rights and welfare in various settings, including schools, foster care, and adoption processes.
- Collaborate with educators to address school-related issues like truancy, misbehavior, and teenage pregnancy.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Participate in training and professional development to stay current with best practices in social work and family services.
