Job Brief
As a Casino Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth financial operations within our gambling establishment. You will be responsible for processing financial transactions for patrons, including cashing checks and selling gambling chips, tokens, or tickets. The ideal candidate will have previous cashier experience, strong mathematical skills, and exceptional customer service abilities. Responsibilities
- Conduct accurate financial transactions for patrons, including cashing checks and processing credit applications.
- Verify credit references to authorize check cashing and establish house credit accounts.
- Sell gambling chips, tokens, or tickets to patrons and other staff members for resale.
- Convert gambling chips, tokens, or tickets to currency upon patron requests.
- Utilize cash registers or computer systems to record transactions efficiently.
- Reconcile daily transaction summaries and balance cash drawers at the end of shifts.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patron inquiries and resolving any issues related to transactions.
- Maintain compliance with all gaming regulations and internal policies during transactions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in finance or accounting is a plus.
- Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar financial role, preferably in a casino or gaming environment.
- Strong mathematical skills and proficiency in handling cash and financial transactions.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage high volumes of cash flow.
- Familiarity with gaming regulations and compliance standards.
- Basic computer skills and experience with cash handling software.
