Job Brief
The Carton Making Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining paper goods machinery that converts paper or paperboard sheets into various products. This role requires proficiency in machine operation, quality control, and troubleshooting, ensuring efficient production processes while adhering to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust carton making machines for optimal performance and product quality.
- Operate machines that convert, saw, corrugate, band, wrap, box, stitch, form, or seal paper goods.
- Monitor machine operations and conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate production records and report any discrepancies to management.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Train and assist new operators in machine operation and safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machine operation is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Carton Making Machine Operator or similar role in the packaging industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards in manufacturing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and machine monitoring.
