Job Brief
The Carpet Layer Helper assists skilled carpet installers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of various types of carpets and flooring materials. Responsibilities
- Assist in measuring, cutting, and preparing carpet and flooring materials for installation.
- Help transport and handle carpet rolls and flooring products to job sites.
- Support lead carpet layers during the installation process, ensuring quality and precision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations.
- Learn and apply various carpet installation techniques, including stretching and tacking.
- Participate in the removal of old flooring and preparation of subfloors.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project completion.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on tools and equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in construction or flooring installation is a plus.
