The Carpenter Assistant plays a crucial role in the construction industry by supporting skilled carpenters in various tasks. Responsibilities

  • Supply and hold tools and materials for carpentry projects as directed by skilled workers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Load and unload construction materials and tools to and from job sites.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Help with the installation of structures and fixtures, including windows, doors, and cabinets.
  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance on tools and equipment used in carpentry tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to specifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in carpentry or construction is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of carpentry tools and techniques.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
