As a Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapist, you will assess, plan, and implement tailored rehabilitation programs aimed at enhancing patient mobility, alleviating pain, and improving strength. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with cardiopulmonary conditions to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement and monitor rehabilitative programs to improve patient mobility and functional independence.
- Utilize therapeutic modalities and exercises to alleviate pain and enhance physical function.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, exercise techniques, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and recovery outcomes.
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on evolving needs and goals.
- Stay updated with the latest evidence-based practices in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.
- Participate in professional development activities to maintain licensure and enhance skills.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Proven experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation or related clinical settings.
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercises, modalities, and cardiopulmonary anatomy.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and team collaboration.
- Ability to assess and adapt treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback.
