Job Brief
The Car Refinisher is responsible for repairing and refinishing automotive vehicle bodies to restore them to their original condition. Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage and determine the appropriate repair methods for bodywork and frame straightening.
- Perform metal and fiberglass repairs, including welding and plastic repairs, to restore vehicle integrity.
- Apply primer, paint, and clear coat finishes to ensure a flawless appearance and protection against corrosion.
- Utilize precision measuring tools to ensure accurate frame alignment and structural integrity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Stay updated on emerging automotive refinishing techniques and technologies to enhance service quality.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an automotive refinishing program is preferred.
- Proven experience as a car refinisher or in a similar automotive repair role.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle body construction, repair techniques, and finishing processes.
- Proficiency in using automotive repair tools and equipment, including spray guns, sanders, and welding machines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical service manuals and diagrams.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
