Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain artillery systems, including guns, howitzers, and cannons, to effectively destroy enemy positions.
- Conduct precision targeting and firing operations, utilizing advanced computer systems for accurate artillery deployment.
- Test, inspect, and store ammunition, missiles, and torpedoes to ensure operational readiness and safety compliance.
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance on weapons and related equipment to maximize performance and reliability.
- Establish and maintain effective radio and wire communications with team members and command units.
- Collaborate with field artillery crew members to execute coordinated fire missions during combat operations.
- Participate in training exercises to enhance skills in artillery operations and tactical strategies.
- Document and report maintenance activities, ammunition usage, and operational readiness of equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced military training in artillery operations preferred.
- Experience with artillery systems and weapons maintenance, including guns and cannons.
- Proficiency in operating computer-based targeting and firing systems.
- Strong understanding of military communication protocols and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and make timely decisions.
- Valid military certification or qualification in artillery operations and weapon handling.
- Excellent physical fitness and the ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
