Job Brief
As a Cannon Crewmember, you will play a critical role in field artillery operations, responsible for targeting, firing, and maintaining advanced weaponry such as guns, cannons, and howitzers. This position requires hands-on experience in combat scenarios, proficiency in weapons systems, and the ability to conduct routine maintenance and inspections. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain artillery systems, including guns, cannons, and howitzers, ensuring optimal performance during ground combat operations.
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing of ammunition, missiles, and torpedoes to ensure safety and readiness.
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance on weapons and related equipment to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Establish and maintain radio and wire communications to facilitate effective coordination during operations.
- Utilize advanced weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to accurately engage enemy positions and assets.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and execute tactical plans during training exercises and real-world scenarios.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks associated with handling and operating weaponry.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant military training or experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating artillery systems and familiarity with various types of ammunition and weaponry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in preventive maintenance and repair of artillery equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics related to artillery operations.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and commanding officers.
- Must be physically fit and capable of working in demanding environments.
- Valid military certification for operating specific artillery systems and equipment.
