Job Brief
As a Cable Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and adjusting a variety of electronic entertainment equipment, including audio and television receivers, stereo systems, and video systems, in residential and commercial settings. Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain audio and video equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct thorough inspections and troubleshooting of electronic systems to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various entertainment systems to prolong equipment lifespan.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Document all installations, repairs, and maintenance work accurately for record-keeping and quality assurance.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry trends to enhance service delivery and technical knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during installations and repairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cable Installation Technician or similar role in the electronics industry.
- Strong understanding of audio and video systems, including installation and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for installation and maintenance tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Technical certifications related to cable installation preferred (e.g., SCTE, BICSI).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, with the ability to travel to different job sites as needed.
