Job Brief
The Bulk Mail Technician plays a critical role in the efficient processing of mail within a United States Postal Service (USPS) post office. Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and distribute letters and parcels efficiently and accurately.
- Sell postage and revenue stamps, postal cards, and stamped envelopes to customers.
- Process money orders and ensure compliance with postal regulations.
- Organize and place mail into designated pigeonholes or bags for delivery.
- Examine mail for correct postage and handle discrepancies as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace that adheres to safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of postal supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or postal services is a plus.
- Previous experience in a postal service or customer service role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of mail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate postal equipment and software effectively.
- Familiarity with postal regulations and procedures is advantageous.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
