Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in laying and binding various building materials, including brick, concrete blocks, and other masonry units. This role involves constructing and repairing walls, partitions, arches, and other structures using mortar and other binding substances. Responsibilities
- Lay and bind building materials such as brick, block, and tile using mortar and other substances.
- Construct and repair walls, partitions, arches, and other masonry structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications.
- Measure and cut materials to ensure accurate fit and alignment.
- Mix and apply mortar to ensure proper adhesion and stability of masonry units.
- Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
- Inspect structures to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate effectively with other construction team members to complete projects on time.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bricklayer or in a similar masonry role.
- Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and perform manual labor.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in construction.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Relevant certifications or apprenticeships in masonry or construction preferred.
