Job Brief
As a Brass and Wind Instrument Repairer, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of brass and wind musical instruments to ensure optimal performance and sound quality. Responsibilities
- Diagnose issues and perform repairs on brass and wind instruments, including trumpets, trombones, clarinets, and flutes.
- Conduct regular maintenance to ensure instruments are in optimal playing condition.
- Adjust and align components for improved performance and sound quality.
- Replace damaged parts and perform soldering, dent removal, and cleaning procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and inventory of parts and tools.
- Communicate effectively with musicians to understand their specific instrument needs.
- Stay updated on advancements in repair techniques and instrument technology.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Brass and Wind Instrument Repairer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of musical instrument mechanics and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in soldering, metalworking, and woodwind instrument repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Certification in musical instrument repair or related field is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and musicians.
