Job Brief
The Box Fabricator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery that converts paper and paperboard into a variety of packaging products. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate paper goods machinery for converting, sawing, and corrugating paper products.
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Inspect finished products for defects and quality assurance compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and workflow.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and standard operating procedures in the workplace.
- Document production data and report any discrepancies or machine malfunctions.
- Train and mentor junior fabricators on operational best practices and equipment handling.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in manufacturing or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Box Fabricator or in a similar manufacturing role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with paper goods machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials as required.
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in manufacturing environments.
