Job Brief
The Bowling Ball Molder is responsible for setting up, operating, and tending machines to mold and shape high-quality bowling balls. This role requires hands-on experience with molding machinery and a keen eye for detail to ensure product specifications are met. Ideal candidates will possess strong mechanical skills, an understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate molding machines for optimal production efficiency.
- Operate plodder machines and tuber machines to create consistent bowling ball shapes.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure smooth operation and minimize downtime.
- Inspect molded products for defects and make necessary adjustments to machinery settings.
- Document production data and report any discrepancies to management.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production techniques and efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience in machine operation, preferably in the molding or manufacturing industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
