Job Brief

The Boilerhouse Mechanic is responsible for the repair, installation, adjustment, and maintenance of industrial production machinery and processing systems, including refinery and pipeline distribution systems. This role requires a solid understanding of mechanical systems and hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex mechanical issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, dismantle, and move industrial machinery and heavy equipment according to engineering specifications and project plans.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on boilers and related systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Adjust and calibrate equipment to maintain proper operational parameters and improve efficiency.
  • Document maintenance activities and repairs in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop and improve maintenance procedures and best practices.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Boilerhouse Mechanic or in a similar mechanical maintenance role within an industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, boiler operations, and industrial machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in an industrial environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
