Job Brief
The Boilerhouse Mechanic is responsible for the repair, installation, adjustment, and maintenance of industrial production machinery and processing systems, including refinery and pipeline distribution systems. This role requires a solid understanding of mechanical systems and hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex mechanical issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Install, dismantle, and move industrial machinery and heavy equipment according to engineering specifications and project plans.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on boilers and related systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
- Adjust and calibrate equipment to maintain proper operational parameters and improve efficiency.
- Document maintenance activities and repairs in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop and improve maintenance procedures and best practices.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Boilerhouse Mechanic or in a similar mechanical maintenance role within an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, boiler operations, and industrial machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in an industrial environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
