Job Brief
The Boat Detailer is responsible for the meticulous cleaning and detailing of boats, ensuring they are in pristine condition for customers. This role requires hands-on experience with various cleaning techniques and tools, including power washers, brushes, and specialized cleaning agents. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, a passion for marine vehicles, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Experience in the marine industry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash and clean boats using water, cleaning agents, brushes, and cloths.
- Apply wax and polish to enhance the appearance and protection of boat surfaces.
- Detail interiors by vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning upholstery and surfaces.
- Inspect boats for damages or maintenance needs and report findings to management.
- Utilize pressure washers and other equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to safety protocols.
- Assist in inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service and address client inquiries professionally.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a boat detailer or similar role in the marine industry.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and products specific to marine vehicles.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment and tools, including power washers.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in marine detailing are a plus.
