Job Brief

The Boat Detailer is responsible for the meticulous cleaning and detailing of boats, ensuring they are in pristine condition for customers. This role requires hands-on experience with various cleaning techniques and tools, including power washers, brushes, and specialized cleaning agents. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, a passion for marine vehicles, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Experience in the marine industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly wash and clean boats using water, cleaning agents, brushes, and cloths.
  • Apply wax and polish to enhance the appearance and protection of boat surfaces.
  • Detail interiors by vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning upholstery and surfaces.
  • Inspect boats for damages or maintenance needs and report findings to management.
  • Utilize pressure washers and other equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Assist in inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address client inquiries professionally.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a boat detailer or similar role in the marine industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and products specific to marine vehicles.
  • Ability to operate various cleaning equipment and tools, including power washers.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in marine detailing are a plus.
