Job Brief
As a Before and After School Daycare Worker, you will provide essential care and supervision for children in a variety of settings, including schools, private households, and childcare institutions. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting children with daily activities such as dressing, feeding, and bathing, while ensuring a safe and engaging environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children during before and after school hours to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Assist children with personal care tasks, including dressing, feeding, and bathing as needed.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, ensuring all toys and materials are safe and in good condition.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s activities and any concerns.
- Monitor children’s behavior and implement positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good habits.
- Support children in developing social skills through guided interactions and group activities.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and emergency procedures to ensure a secure environment for children.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in early childhood development is a plus.
- Previous experience working in childcare or educational settings preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children and parents.
- Ability to create a positive, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work varying hours based on school schedules and parent needs.
