The Beef Splitter is responsible for performing specialized meat preparation functions, including precision cutting of large beef portions for marketing and distribution. Responsibilities
- Perform specialized slaughtering tasks with precision and care to ensure high-quality beef cuts.
- Cut and prepare standard and premium cuts of beef for marketing and distribution.
- Prepare and produce sausages and other meat products according to industry standards.
- Wrap and package meats for sale, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to minimize risks in the workplace.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and quality.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in meat processing and preparation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in meat processing, particularly in beef splitting or similar roles.
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cutting techniques.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations in meat handling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects.
