Job Brief
The Bedspread Cutter is responsible for setting up, operating, and tending machines that cut textiles with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate cutting machines to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Operate cutting equipment to cut bedspread fabrics according to specifications and production schedules.
- Inspect cut pieces for quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Maintain and troubleshoot cutting machines to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to evaluate cutting patterns and optimize resource usage.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Document production data and report any operational issues to supervisors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in textile technology or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a bedspread cutter or in a similar textile cutting role.
- Strong understanding of cutting machinery and textile materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, patterns, and instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
