Job Brief
The Banquet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of staff engaged in the preparation and serving of food during events and functions. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate banquet staff to ensure efficient service delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Plan and organize banquet events, including setup, service, and breakdown procedures.
- Monitor food presentation and service quality, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train and mentor staff on best practices in food preparation, service techniques, and customer service.
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food service during events.
- Assist in managing inventory and supplies related to banquet operations.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Prepare reports on event performance and staff productivity for management review.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Banquet Supervisor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Culinary training or certification is a plus.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items as needed.
