Job Brief

As a Bank Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with laws and regulations that govern financial institutions, securities, and real estate transactions. You will be responsible for examining, verifying, and authenticating financial records to assess risk, identify discrepancies, and enhance the overall integrity of the banking system. Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in finance or accounting, along with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of financial institutions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Examine financial statements, transaction records, and internal controls to identify potential risks.
  • Evaluate the adequacy of compliance programs and recommend improvements as necessary.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with financial analysts and other stakeholders to enhance regulatory compliance.
  • Stay updated on changes in banking regulations and industry best practices.
  • Assist in preparing for and conducting regulatory examinations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in bank examination, auditing, or risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state banking regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are preferred.
