Job Brief
The Band Scroll Saw Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and tending to wood sawing machines, including band saws and CNC equipment. Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate band scroll saws and CNC machines for various wood cutting tasks.
- Inspect and maintain sawing equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting specifications.
- Execute precise cuts and patterns on wood materials, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Monitor production processes and adjust machine settings as necessary to meet project requirements.
- Conduct routine quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to improve workflow and production efficiency.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Band Scroll Saw Operator or similar role in woodworking.
- Familiarity with CNC programming and operation is preferred.
- Strong understanding of woodworking tools, machinery, and safety standards.
- Ability to read technical blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in work execution.
- Physical stamina and strength to operate machinery and handle materials.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in woodworking or CNC operation is a plus.
