Job Brief
As an Auto Service Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and scheduling the dispatch of workers, equipment, and service vehicles to ensure timely and efficient operations. Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch service technicians to jobs based on priority and availability.
- Utilize radio, telephone, or computer systems to transmit assignments and instructions.
- Monitor the progress of service calls and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Compile and maintain records of work activities, service reports, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates and resolve inquiries.
- Coordinate emergency repairs and service requests as they arise.
- Analyze operational data to improve dispatch efficiency and service delivery.
- Assist in training new dispatch staff and developing standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or automotive service preferred.
- Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Proficiency in using dispatch software and scheduling tools.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes and terminology is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
