Job Brief

As an Auto Carrier Driver, you will be responsible for transporting vehicles safely and efficiently, utilizing a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of at least 26,001 pounds. This role requires a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and involves loading and unloading vehicles as necessary. Ideal candidates possess strong driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination or truck with a GVW of at least 26,001 pounds to transport vehicles.
  • Ensure the safe and secure loading and unloading of vehicles on and off the transport unit.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules.
  • Provide excellent customer service during vehicle drop-off and pick-up.
  • Complete required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in vehicle transportation.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle safety protocols and transportation regulations.
  • Ability to perform vehicle inspections and minor maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects as required.
