Job Brief

As an Athletic Coach, you will instruct and mentor individuals or groups in the fundamentals of various sports, focusing on skill development and competitive performance. You will demonstrate techniques, enhance athletes’ understanding of game strategies, and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses to optimize training and recruitment. This role requires a strong background in athletics, effective communication skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes to achieve their best.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement training programs tailored to athletes’ skill levels and competition goals.
  • Instruct athletes on techniques, strategies, and rules of the sport to enhance performance.
  • Evaluate athletes’ performances and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Organize and conduct practice sessions, drills, and competitive events.
  • Monitor athletes’ progress and adjust training methods to meet their evolving needs.
  • Foster a positive team culture that encourages teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends and best practices in coaching and athletic training.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a cohesive training environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Athletic Coach or similar role in competitive sports.
  • Deep understanding of the rules, techniques, and strategies of the sport.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively train and motivate athletes.
  • Certification in coaching or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to assess and analyze athletes’ performance and implement improvement plans.
  • First aid and CPR certification is a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
