Job Brief

As an Assembly Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the activities of production and operating workers, including inspectors, machine setters, operators, assemblers, and fabricators. Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise daily assembly line operations to meet production goals and quality standards.
  • Coordinate workflow and assign tasks to assembly team members to optimize productivity.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work processes to ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations.
  • Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Train and mentor assembly staff on proper techniques, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of production metrics, employee performance, and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with management and other departments to facilitate communication and resolve operational challenges.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Assembly Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of assembly processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills to motivate and guide assembly personnel.
  • Proficient in using manufacturing equipment and tools relevant to the assembly process.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and management.
  • A degree or certification in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
