Job Brief
The Asphalt Paver operates specialized equipment to apply asphalt or other materials to various surfaces, including roadbeds, parking lots, and airport runways. Responsibilities
- Operate asphalt paving machines to lay asphalt on roads, parking lots, and other surfaces.
- Monitor and maintain equipment performance, ensuring proper functionality during paving operations.
- Prepare and set up job sites, including grading and leveling surfaces as required.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure project specifications and safety standards are met.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on paving equipment to prevent downtime.
- Mix and apply asphalt and other materials according to specified guidelines.
- Document daily activities, including material usage and labor hours.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and industry best practices during operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience operating asphalt paving machinery and related equipment.
- Strong understanding of asphalt application techniques and surface preparation.
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and regulations.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physical environments.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
