Job Brief
The Armament Weapons Support Equipment (ASWE) Maintenance Manager oversees and coordinates the maintenance and operational readiness of armament support equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of weapons systems and support equipment, along with leadership skills to supervise a team of weapons specialists and crew members. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in maintenance management and a proven track record in ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational protocols.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team of weapons specialists, ensuring efficient maintenance and repair of armament support equipment.
- Coordinate daily operations, scheduling maintenance tasks, and monitoring equipment performance.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of support equipment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to optimize equipment reliability and performance.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices and safety regulations related to armament maintenance.
- Collaborate with engineering and logistics teams to ensure the availability of necessary parts and tools for maintenance activities.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement in maintenance processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a maintenance management role, preferably within an armament or military environment.
- In-depth knowledge of weapons systems, support equipment, and maintenance procedures.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards related to weapons and maintenance operations.
- Technical certifications in maintenance management or related fields are preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and other departments.
