Job Brief

Responsibilities
- Design and fabricate custom arch supports and orthotic devices based on patient assessments and prescriptions.
- Evaluate and modify existing medical supportive devices to enhance functionality and patient comfort.
- Utilize appropriate materials and techniques to ensure durability and effectiveness of arch supports and other medical appliances.
- Collaborate with orthopedic specialists and physical therapists to determine patient needs and device specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on prosthetic devices and supportive appliances.
- Maintain accurate records of patient fittings, device specifications, and modifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in materials, and best practices in orthotic and prosthetic technology.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality assurance standards in all fabrication processes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in orthotics, prosthetics, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in arch support fabrication or related medical device manufacturing.
- Strong technical skills in using hand and power tools specific to the orthotic and prosthetic industry.
- Knowledge of biomechanical principles and patient assessment techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
