Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Arcade Games Mechanic to install, service, adjust, and repair various types of amusement machines, including video games, jukeboxes, pinball machines, and slot machines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electronic repair, mechanical troubleshooting, and a passion for arcade gaming. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are essential for ensuring optimal machine performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Install, test, and configure arcade games and vending machines to ensure proper functionality.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on electronic and mechanical components of amusement machines.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to coin mechanisms, displays, and game software.
- Repair and replace faulty parts, including circuit boards, wiring, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inventory of parts.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding machine performance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in arcade technology.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency and machine uptime.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Arcade Games Mechanic or in a related field, such as electronic repair or vending machine maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of electronic circuitry, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with arcade game software and hardware, including video game consoles and pinball machines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for on-site service calls.
- Certification in electronics or related field is a plus.
