Job Brief
The AOC Strategy Plans and Operational Assessment Officer is responsible for managing critical communications, detection, and weapons systems that are vital for the effective control of air, ground, and naval operations. This role requires an experienced professional with a strong background in military operations and emergency management. Key responsibilities include formulating emergency response plans, coordinating multi-domain forces, and providing technical expertise on operational readiness and capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the operation of communications systems linking air, ground, and naval forces.
- Formulate and implement emergency plans for both natural and wartime disasters.
- Coordinate and direct emergency response teams and agencies during crises.
- Evaluate command center information and prepare high-level military and government reports.
- Manage surveillance and detection systems to ensure operational effectiveness.
- Provide technical information and advice regarding capabilities and operational readiness.
- Direct the operation of weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems.
- Analyze operational assessments to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in military science, operations management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in military operations or strategic planning roles.
- Strong knowledge of communications, detection, and weapons systems.
- Experience in emergency management and response coordination.
- Proficiency in using command and control systems and software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are a plus.
